Loved the food and the classic atmosphere upstairs. Between the decor and the music, it really set a nice vibe that sends you back in time. The dishes that we ordered were very good and so were the drinks. When you have a chance to choose your spice level though I would take it down a notch from whatever you want. I ordered one of the dishes as medium and it was very spicy, still good though. Just more of a kick than I was expecting.

This place has a cute train carriage vibe, and very fun cocktails. I find the curried fish cake so lovely, soft and fluffy with a rich fish flavor. The red curry with pork and pineapple was very delicious and decadent. The pork shoulder with fried rice - pork was very nicely grilled and moist. The fish ceviche was a little dry but still fresh.

Burrapa was along the street of our hotel and had a really nice vibe! I recommend making a reservation as we had to sit on the bar for a drink and then we were finally seated upstairs in their dining area. The cocktails were absolutely delicious! we ended up doing repeat orders of both of ours. The bar area is super chill! The staff is super helpful with the menu items and their suggestions were pretty good too! We got the wagyu curry which had some weird bitter peas in them - not sure we would order that again. We also got stir fried crab in yellow chili which was average. For the dessert we got the banana and coconut dumplings which were delicious! The setting of the dining area is super cute and I think it would be great for a date night. Keep in mind its on the pricier end of the spectrum!

Our first night in Bangkok, we stumbled across Burapa and we were so glad we did! The building is gorgeous and each floor looks like a 1920s train car. The top level is the first class level and is beautiful. We sat on the second floor. The service was wonderful and everyone was so kind as we didn’t speak Thai. Everyone spoke English and made wonderful recommendations when we asked. The food was absolutely amazing! Make sure you know your spice tolerance and to let them know as you order. The food was perfect and the flavors meddled without fighting one another. I highly recommend eating here if you are in Bangkok! The experience and ambiance alone makes it worth it. They also have a bar downstairs if you’re just wanting a drink.

Northern style Thai food but excellent service and great authentic Thai food. Probably not what you'd see on your typical Thai menu and a wide range of cocktails; mixed drinks and northern Thai beers. Moderate prices and the decor is respectful and up market. Great for business meals or if you want to impress that special someone. Hope to see you there soon.

Good food, service a bit patchy in parts with some dishes and elements of our order undelivered or needing to be chased. But to be fair, staff were friendly and professional. Best dishes - Thai Skewers, Curries & Calamari. Cocktails were very good. I loved the atmosphere and setting inside the dining room with the decór very well done and perfect use of mirrors to trick the eye. Very entertaining and fun. I would come back to try more dishes.

Looks like a quaint shop in the middle of a busy street, this eatery has 3 floors of seating space and serves delicious Thai food. We ordered a couple of dishes to share, and all the dishes tasted pretty good. It wasn't superb per say, but the flavours were decent. Interestingly, the restaurant doesn't serve traditional Thai dishes like Pad Thai. Noodle dishes were also pretty rare on the menu. A couple of interesting fried rice dishes though. Overall a good find, but there could be better options!

Burapa Eastern Thai Cuisine & Bar in Bangkok, along with Sri Trat, (although the latter is better in my view) are pioneers for Eastern Thailand and its food. Thailand’s north-east province is called Isaan. Thailand’s north-east region and east region are not the same. And neither is the food. The rural region is known for its rich cultural diversity and its cuisine with its bold flavours. Because it’s very hot and humid in the area, the cuisine relies heavily on preservation and fermentation and the food is also characterised by local herbs, vegetables and spices. There’s lots of fermented fish paste or shrimp paste to give dishes a strong kick of umami – and it has a famously fiery nature. Decor is Orient Express-themed The food was served a bit on cold side
